August, 2009:

Please note: Secure online ordering with a "shopping cart", will be ready and "online" shortly. The "shopping cart" page design is complete, but I am editing and improving it to ensure that it is thorough, easy-to-use, and is the best "clock key" site on the web. Improved descriptions and photos of keys will be included, and the convenience of 24/7 online ordering with your credit card will be available. Until then, I ask that you still be willing to order "the old-fashioned way"........you may order by check or credit card, by mail, fax, phone, or e-mail. Thank you for your patience.

Some key prices here are out-of-date, and will be updated shortly when the "shopping cart" and a major site improvement to www.jfkclock.com go online. Please e-mail or call for current pricing. In most cases, prices are only $1 to $5 higher than the prices now listed here. None of the price increases are substantial, nor should any of them make buying a key cost-prohibitive.

Shipping to Canada and overseas is available, but prices are slightly more due to increased postage. Please inquire.

What's listed here is limited. However, I stock most types of clock key, and probably have what you need. If you don't see the key you need, please see "Don’t See What You Need?" and perhaps I can supply it.

Winding Keys

Key #H-4 $15.00 - a small sized, wing-style winding key for German-made mechanisms in modern clocks. (It is similar to, but smaller than the #H-8.) This key fits clocks with German-made mechanisms (movements) by Franz Hermle, Hermle Black Forest, Kieninger, Urgos, Jauch, Mauthe, and other makes. This key fits the Chelsea Ship Strike and Boston Ships Strike clocks (the Chelsea clocks with German-made mechanisms), as well as the Schatz Royal Mariner Conversion and other types. See Key #CH-6 for the genuine Chelsea Ships Bell Clock with the American-made mechanism.

Key #H-4 also fits many mantel, bracket, shelf, and wall clocks by: Howard Miller; Ridgeway; Ethan Allen; Sligh; Trend; Tradition; Heritage Heirloom; Baldwin; New England Clock Company (Co.); Seth Thomas; Wuersch; Mason & Sullivan; Elgin; Hamilton; Ansonia; Hermle; Black Forest; Kieninger; Verichron; King Arthur; Alfry; Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing (Mfg.) Company (Co.); Harris and Mallow, and many clock brands that have been made within the last 50 years.

Key #H-8 $15.00 - a large sized, wing-style replacement winding key for your Howard Miller; Ridgeway; Ethan Allen; Sligh; Trend; Tradition; Heritage Heirloom; Baldwin; W. Haid; New England Clock Company (Co.); Seth Thomas; Wuersch; Mason & Sullivan; Elgin; Hamilton; Ansonia; Hermle; Black Forest; Kieninger; Verichron; King Arthur; Alfry; Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing (Mfg.) Company (Co.); or Harris and Mallow brand of mantel, bracket, or shelf clock. It is also a new replacement winding key for most other modern mantel or bracket clock brands with German-made mechanisms by Franz Hermle, Hermle Black Forest, Kieninger, Urgos, UW, Jauch, Mauthe, and other makes. (It is similar to, but larger than the #H-4.)

This key also fits other American-made, antique, and vintage Chelsea clocks (including antique Chelsea deck clocks, phenolic case, etc. plus the Millennium, The Constitution, and other models), not just the "Ships Bell" type. If you have a Chelsea clock that has the American-made mechanism that's manufactured in Chelsea, Massachusetts USA, then this is the genuine key for your clock. "Chelsea" is engraved right on the key: brand new, and IN STOCK. (See Key #H-4 for the Chelsea Ship Strike and Boston Ships Strike clocks; i.e., the Chelsea clocks with the German-made mechanisms).

Also Stocking:

Key #S-10 $12.00 - a wing-style winding key for the original Schatz Royal Mariner Ships Bell Clock made by the Schatz company in Germany from the 1960s to the 1980s (it is not for the Schatz Royal Mariner Conversion, which uses Key #H-4). Grandfather Clock Door Lock and Key Replacement

If you need to buy a new replacement door key or door lock for your grandfather clock, I do sell them, and probably have the one you need in stock. The keys and locks I have available fit most brand of grandfather and grandmother clocks including: Howard Miller, Ridgeway, Ethan Allen, Trend, Sligh, Baldwin, Heritage Heirloom, Seth Thomas, Barwick, Mason and Sullivan, Emperor Clock, Colonial, Pearl, King Arthur, Wuersch, New England (N.E.) Clock Company (Co.), and others.

I can either match a key to your existing lock, or to the broken key; or, I can supply an assortment of keys, one of which is sure to fit your clock.

Method #1.) Please send your clock's lock (if the door is not locked shut) or its broken key (both pieces, if it's broken in two) and request that a new key be matched to it. The cost is $20.00 postpaid, for door keys ordered in this fashion. Use a padded manila/cardboard envelope, well sealed, to send them. Do not send locks or keys in a regular #10 paper "business" envelope!

Method #2.) In the more likely scenario that you cannot supply the lock or key for matching (if the door is locked shut, and the key is missing, for example), for $25.00 postpaid I will supply a key assortment. Upon receiving the assortment, keep the key that you need, and please return the extras in the postage-paid envelope that I will supply.

Key #DL $20.00 - (you provide me with the existing lock or the broken/worn out key, so that I can match a new key to them).

Key #DL-ASST $25.00 - (I will supply an assortment of door keys for you. Keep the one that fits, please return the extras.)

Part #LK $25.00 - New Lock and Key, complete (must have original lock for matching). If your original lock is worn out or damaged, unlock and open the door, remove the lock, and mail it here for matching. The new one is "new", and it will work smoothly and properly (as it should) for many more years.

PRIORITY MAIL is available for $4.00 additional.

VISA CC   MC   Dscover CC   AMEX CC  are accepted.

Please do not e-mail your credit card information, as e-mail is not 100% secure; also, because this webpage is not equipped with "secure server, online purchase" technology at this time. (It will be soon!). With your order please tell me who you are; also how to contact you if I need to; and which key you would like to order. Upon receipt of payment, a brand new replacement key will be mailed to you from my stock.

Don’t See What You Need? Not sure which key to order?

If you do not see the type of key that you need on this web page, or if you do not know which key to order, then please send a description of your clock, and please tell me any engravings that are on your clock's mechanism, if it's possible for you to see them. Or, take a digital photo* of the front of your clock, and the rear inside of your clock if possible (so that I can see the face of the clock and its mechanism), and either print them on your printer and send them with your payment, or e-mail me the photos beforehand. I will be able to determine from your description and/or your photos, which clock key you need. If possible, please measure the size of the clock's winders as accurately as possible, in inches or millimeters.

*If you CANNOT, or DON'T KNOW how to, or DO NOT WISH to learn how to use a digital camera: you can take regular 35mm pictures or Polaroid pictures, put them in an envelope, and mail them here the old-fashioned way.
